A clear look at fees, net deposits, settlement timing, and refunds on The Forever Fund. Figures shown here reflect what is currently published and are reviewed regularly.
Are payment-processing fees included?
The current Terms say third-party payment-processing fees are included in the platform fee.
The January 2026 Terms state that payment-processor fees are included in the standard platform fee. This must be checked against the live checkout after the fee conflict is resolved. Any additional guest, currency, wallet, chargeback, brokerage, or adviser fee should be disclosed separately before the user commits.
The site currently describes free registry creation and hosting rather than a monthly or annual platform subscription.
The public How It Works page says registry creation and lifetime hosting are free. Transaction, brokerage, and optional adviser fees can still apply. If the business introduces a subscription or premium feature, update this answer, pricing, checkout, and existing-customer disclosures together.
The site currently describes registry creation as free, with transaction fees applied when gifts are received.
The Forever Fund currently advertises free registry creation and hosting rather than an upfront setup charge. Transaction fees may be deducted from gifts, and separate brokerage or adviser fees may apply depending on services chosen. The live disclosure accepted at activation controls and should match the public pricing page and Terms.
The site describes a Stripe-powered checkout supporting cards and, when available on the device, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Guests use the payment methods displayed in the live checkout. Card and wallet availability can depend on the browser, device, billing country, and payment configuration. The public answer should be updated whenever the actual checkout options change.
The current homepage describes the transaction fee as a recipient fee deducted before the gift reaches the brokerage.
Under the pricing language currently shown on the homepage, the fee is deducted from each gift before the net amount lands in the recipient's brokerage account. The checkout and receipt should clearly show whether the guest's card is charged only the chosen amount and how much the recipient receives.
A pending gift may still be authorizing, settling, under review, or waiting to post at the connected brokerage.
Pending status does not necessarily mean the gift failed. Wait through the published settlement window, check that the brokerage connection is active, and avoid asking the guest to pay again. If the status exceeds the normal window, the owner should contact support with the gift ID and date, not sensitive card or account credentials.
